Pelicans and Thunder Set for Game 3 clash
The Oklahoma City Thunder take on the New Orleans Pelicans at Smoothie King Center on Saturday afternoon in Game 3 of their Western Conference quarterfinal-round series. The Thunder leads the series, 2-0.

The Thunder (2-0) barely squeaked by in Game 1, but Oklahoma City asserted its will and talent to much greater degree during a 124-92 drubbing of the Pelicans in Game 2 on Wednesday night to take a commanding series lead. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder with 33 points, adding five assists, three rebounds and two steals. Chet Holmgren furnished 26 points, seven rebounds, one assist and two blocks. Jalen Williams supplied 21 points, seven assists, five rebounds and one steal. Luguentz Dort turned in 15 points, two assists, one rebound and one steal. Josh Giddey registered 13 points, six rebounds and three assists.

The Thunder comes into Saturday's game without any injuries to report.

The Pelicans (0-2) have now managed to only score 92 points apiece in the first two games of the series, with the ongoing absence of Zion Williamson (hamstring) unsurprisingly looming very large. In Game 2, Jonas Valanciunas led the Pelicans with 19 points, supplementing them with seven rebounds and two assists. Brandon Ingram and Herbert Jones produced matching 18-point contributions while adding four and two rebounds, respectively. CJ McCollum delivered 15 points, five boards, four assists and two steals. Naji Marshall finished with 10 points, two rebounds and one steal.

The Pelicans will remain without Williamson for Saturday's game.

Saturday's game marks the sixth meeting between the teams since the start of the regular season. The Thunder has won four of the first five games.
