DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

DraftKings NBA: Tuesday Cheat Sheet

This article is part of our DraftKings NBA series.

Tuesday brings only six games in the NBA, but the evening will be highlighted by the Rockets taking on the Timberwolves and the Cavaliers facing the Thunder. That's a lot of star power packed into one night, but let's take a look across the entire price scale to see who can hopefully help you bring home some money on DraftKings.

Guards

Jimmy Butler, MIN vs. HOU ($9,300): Butler had a rough game by his standards Sunday against the Kings, finishing with only 31.8 DraftKings points. He took just nine shots in the game, far below his season average of 15.8 shot attempts per contest. Expect him to get back into his offensive groove Tuesday as the Timberwolves try to keep up with the high-scoring Rockets, who play at the ninth-fastest pace (100.5 possessions per game) in the league.

De'Aaron Fox, SAC at DAL ($6,300): Fox is the unquestioned starter at point guard, logging at least 34 minutes in both games since George Hill was traded to the Cavaliers. Fox has taken advantage of the opportunity so far, scoring at least 32.5 DraftKings points in both of those contests. The Mavericks allow the seventh-most DraftKings points per game (47.7) to opposing point guards, making Fox someone to consider at this reasonable price.

Fred VanVleet, TOR vs. MIA ($4,600): VanVleet is a crucial part of the Raptors bench, playing at least 20 minutes in six of his last seven games. He's been very efficient in his limited playing time, scoring at least 26.8 DraftKings points three of his last four games. Although he doesn't have a high ceiling based on his role, he still has the potential to provide value at such a cheap price.

Forwards

Giannis Antetokounmpo, MIL vs. ATL ($10,700): Giannis has the fifth-highest usage rate (32%) in the league this season, giving him a high floor in DFS. He's scored at least 42.5 DraftKings points in 10 of his last 11 games and gets a great matchup Tuesday against a Hawks team that allows the fifth-most DraftKings points per game (48.7) to opposing power forwards. As long as this game doesn't get out of hand early, Giannis should provide valuable production.

Dwight Powell, DAL vs. SAC ($5,500): Powell is finally getting extended playing time, logging at least 23 minutes in six straight games. He's been productive as a result, scoring at least 27.5 DraftKings points in five straight contests. He just scored 31.3 DraftKings points against these same Kings a little over a week ago and is someone to consider again Tuesday.

Jerami Grant, OKC vs. CLE ($4,900): Grant is having one of his most productive stretches of the season, scoring at least 22.5 DraftKings points in six straight games. The Thunder don't have a great bench, so he is going to get plenty of opportunities to contribute. Even though the Cavaliers have made a lot of changes to their team, they still aren't very strong defensively. If you want to save some money at forward, Grant is a viable option.

Centers

Karl-Anthony Towns, MIN vs. HOU ($9,200): Towns is rolling right now, scoring at least 42.3 DraftKings points in seven of his last nine games. Although he doesn't always get a lot of shot attempts with Butler and Andrew Wiggins in the fold, he is extremely efficient by shooting 54.6% from the field and 85.0% from the charity stripe. He crushed the Rockets for 62.5 DraftKings points in their first meeting this season and has a high upside again Tuesday.

Pau Gasol, SA at DEN ($5,600): Gasol stepped up with LaMarcus Aldridge (knee) sidelined Monday, scoring 49.8 DraftKings points in 33 minutes. Aldridge has already been ruled out for Tuesday, so Gasol should be in line for increased playing time again. It might be hard to match that kind of production again, but he could still end up being one of the better value plays for the evening.

Dewayne Dedmon, ATL at MIL ($5,300): Dedmon moved back into the starting lineup Sunday, playing 31 minutes and scoring 46.8 DraftKings points against the Pistons. Dedmon has only played at least 26 minutes in a game three times since returning from injury, but scored at least 31 DraftKings points in all three of those contest.s Not only will he likely see added playing time again Tuesday, but he also gets to face a Bucks team that allows the fourth-most DraftKings points per game (54.1) to opposing centers. The price is right to take a chance on him again in this game.
