FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Guards

Kyrie Irving, BOS at NYK ($7,900): This is one of the prices that doesn't make sense, as Irving's 38.3 fantasy points per game imply that he should be north of $8,000. Irving has at least 35 fantasy points in three straight games while playing fewer than 30 minutes in two of those outings. The fact that he leads this team in usage, shots and scoring just adds to his value, and he faces a Knicks defense that allows the 10th-most fantasy points to opposing point guards for the season.

Kris Dunn, CHI at MIN ($6,200): Dunn saw a major price drop due to the fact that he missed a month of action because of a concussion -- this $6,200 price tag is too cheap for someone of his ilk. Not only is he averaging 32.5 fantasy points per game for the season, but Dunn is back to playing a full workload. Dunn also gets a revenge matchup against a T-Wolves team that ranks 27th in defensive efficiency and will be without Jimmy Butler.

Emmanuel Mudiay, NYK vs. BOS ($4,400): Mudiay just gained the starting point guard job in New York after being traded two weeks ago, and he has at least 18 fantasy points in six straight games dating back to his days with the Nuggets. Mudiay's 24.5 percent usage rate since joining the Knicks makes him even more valuable, and at just $4,400, Mudiay only needs 22 fantasy points to reach 5X value.

Forwards

Bobby Portis, CHI at MIN ($6,900): Portis is coming off a career-best 38 points in his most recent game. And his 28.5 percent usage rate in his last 10 games also shows just how valuable he's become to this team since the Nikola Mirotic trade. That number represents the second-highest usage rate on the team behind only Zach LaVine. Over his last three contests, Portis is averaging over 37 fantasy points per game -- not to mention, Minnesota allows the fifth-most fantasy points to opposing centers, a position Portis is often asked to play in small-ball lineups.

Jayson Tatum, BOS at NYK ($5,200): Tatum's 25.6 fantasy points per game is more indicative of a $6,000 player, as a recent slump has lowered his price to this very palatable number. Even in the midst of the aforementioned slump, Tatum is still averaging 23.8 fantasy points per game in his last 13 outings. That's all you can ask for from a player barely cracking $5,000, and he faces a Knicks team Saturday that ranks 20th in total defense.

Centers

Al Horford, BOS at NYK ($6,800): Horford has failed to crack 18 fantasy points in back-to-back games, and that minor slump has lowered his price to this intriguing number. Prior to that slump, Horford has scored at least 23 fantasy points in all but three games for the entirety of the season. On the year, he's averaging 33 fantasy points per game, which has typically kept his price above the $7,000 plateau. The Knicks are a great matchup for centers to exploit, as well, as they allow the third-most fantasy points to the position for the season.
