FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Monday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

The Cavaliers held serve on their home court in Game 3, blowing out the Celtics to get back into the Eastern Conference Finals. They still have a long ways to go, but they have played well at home in the playoffs. They'll look to even things up Monday, which also brings another opportunity to play the single game contest on FanDuel. Here are some players to consider who can hopefully help you finish with a winning lineup.

MVP Candidates

LeBron James, CLE ($20,000): James logged 38 minutes despite the lopsided score in Game 3, scoring 60 FanDuel points. His Game 1 struggles are well in the rear-view mirror as he is back to his ways of stuffing the stat sheet across the board. He is even 8-for-14 from behind the arc in the last two games, so expect big things from him again Monday. His price is crazy high, but he can provide tremendous production in the MVP slot with double the points.

Kevin Love, CLE ($14,500): Love's shot wasn't falling Saturday, finishing just 4-for-12 from the field. He helped salvage his line with 14 rebounds, resulting in 34.8 FanDuel points in only 30 minutes. Despite none of the games in this series being close down the stretch, Love has still scored at least 30.1 FanDuel points in each contest. If you don't want to pay up for James, Love has one of the highest upsides of anyone else taking the floor on either team.

Star and Pro Candidates

Al Horford, BOS ($14,000): Game 3 brought an ugly performance from Horford, who finished with 20.4 FanDuel points. He only played 29 minutes and attempted four shots, leaving him to score just seven points. Most of the Celtics starters didn't have good games and Horford had scored at least 39.8 FanDuel points in both of the first two games of this series, so expect him to bounce back with a valuable performance.

Jaylen Brown, BOS ($12,000): Potentially one of the main reasons why the Celtics were blown out in Game 3 was because Brown was limited to only 20 minutes due to foul trouble. After attempting at least 16 shots in both of the first two games, Brown was limited to eight shots Saturday. He's been one of the focal points of the Celtics offense throughout their playoff run, so don't let one bad game shy you away from using him in one of these two multipliers.

Utility

Tristan Thompson, CLE ($8,500): To get all the studs into the multiplier spots, we'll have to go cheap with the two utility slots. Thompson hasn't been great, but he has scored at least 18.4 FanDuel points in two of three games. He logged at least 20 minutes in all three contests as a member of the starting unit and should play enough again Monday to be worth taking a chance on in tournament play.

Aron Baynes, BOS ($7,500): Baynes isn't flashy, but he's scored at least 17.7 FanDuel points in each game of this series. Not only has he done a nice job on the boards, but he's also shown an ability to stretch the floor by hitting a couple of three-pointers. Even though he's coming off the bench now, he's logged at least 17 minutes in all three games and is someone to consider to help with your budget while still getting modest production.
