Ready for action Tuesday

Anderson (knee) is ready to resume his role as starting point guard when the Blue Hens travel to Maryland on Tuesday for the season opener, Kevin Tresolini of the Delaware News Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
A torn meniscus last season cut Anderson's freshman campaign short after just 11 starts, but he posted encouraging numbers with 13.7 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.9 assists over that span. His most notable effort was a 23-point performance across 40 minutes Dec. 9 against Notre Dame, but he suffered the injury after just two more games. He now appears ready to pick up right where he left off. "I'm ready for it," Anderson said. "I'm so anxious. I just want to get out there and play right now."
