Walker announced on his personal Twitter account that he will hire an agent and remain in the 2018 NBA Draft.

It was originally reported that Walker would enter without an agent, but that's since been updated and he'll now forgo the rest of collegiate eligibility. Walker is projected as a borderline lottery pick due to his combination of size, scoring ability and defensive potential, but he'll need to have a strong NBA Combine to vault himself up draft boards further. Walker finished his freshman season at Miami with averages of 11.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 27.8 minutes.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft, but won't hire an agent, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

In terms of his overall numbers, Walker's freshman campaign at Miami wasn't anything spectacular, as he finished the season with averages of 11.5 points, 2.6 rebounds and 1.9 assists across 27.8 minutes. However, NBA teams are expected to fall in love with his size (6-foot-4) and length, as well as his ability to score at all levels of the floor, which has given him late lottery consideration in the draft. Walker should receive an invitation to the NBA combine, which will allow him to perform in front of scouts and get a better idea of where he could be selected. Depending on the feedback, Walker could still pull out by the deadline and return to Miami considering he has yet to sign with an agent.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker posted 12 points (5-12 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 0-1 FT), two rebounds and one block in Thursday's NCAA Tournament loss to Loyola-Chicago.

Walker put up a team-high 12 points and 38 minutes of playing time in Thursday's buzzer-beater loss to No. 11 seed Loyola-Chicago that sent the Hurricanes home from the NCAA Tournament with an early exit. The freshman guard has been garnering a formidable amount of NBA Draft attention, even as far as a potential lottery pick, so it's hard to say if Walker will be suiting up for the Canes again next season.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker had 19 points, four assists, three rebounds and a steal Monday at Notre Dame.

Walker was a hot 5-of-7 from 3-point range in 38 minutes. He's out of a mini-funk, having scored 31 points in his last two outings after just 12 in his previous two. He'll look to keep rolling Saturday against a Boston College team that limited him to six points on 2-of-9 shooting two weeks ago.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker finished with 19 points, four assists, three rebounds and three blocks Wednesday against Wake Forest.

Walker's team-high in points led five Hurricanes in double-figures. The light has fully come on for Walker since a five-point stinker against Florida State on January 7. Since then, he's averaging 18.0 points, 3.8 boards and 2.8 assists.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker finished with 25 points, four rebounds, three assists and two steals Wednesday against Louisville.

Walker fell one point short of tying his career-high. He hit a nifty layup to force overtime, and overall hit 9-of-18 from the floor and 4-of-9 from 3-point range. He's filling up the scoring column of late, averaging 18.0 points in his last four while shooting 52.4 percent from 3-point range (11-of-21) in his last three. He'll look to keep that going against Florida State on Saturday.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker is in the starting lineup Sunday against Florida State.

Walker has came off the bench in all but one game this season, but will now make his first start since Dec. 5. He'll take the spot of Dejan Vasiljevic, who doesn't appear to be injured, suggesting Walker's placement could be more permanent this time around. Over the last five games, Walker has averaged under 20 minutes and produced 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds, so the timing of this move is a bit unique. Nonetheless, the five-star freshman earning a starting spot was considered by many to be inevitable. The NBA prospect should now be given a bit more playing time to showcase his skills, which could get him firmly back on the fantasy radar.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Walker went off for a career-high 26 points (9-15 FG, 5-7 3Pt, 3-3 FT), seven rebounds, and two assists in the win over Boston University on Tuesday.

Walker got the start in place of Bruce Brown who is dealing with a hand injury. The freshman certainly took the advantage of his opportunity as he more than doubled his previous career high. Walker is averaging just under 22 minutes per game so far this season. With Bruce Brown likely out at least one more game, Walker should continue to start in his place. Miami will take on George Washington on Saturday.
