Krampelj will miss the remainder of the 2017-18 campaign due to a torn ACL, Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports reports.

Krampelj suffered the injury in the first half of Wednesday's game against Seton Hall, forcing him to miss the second stanza for obvious reasons. The Blue Jays will have some difficulties replacing the Slovenian big man's production down low, but Ronnie Harrell figures to enter the starting lineup in his place moving forward. Mitch Ballock and Ty-Shon Alexander could also see additional minutes in his absence.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Krampelj injured his knee after landing awkwardly while defending a layup, the Omaha World-Herald reports. He will have his knee re-evaluated on Thursday. Coach Greg McDermott said, "We'll cross our fingers and say a lot of prayers because he's pretty important to this team."

Krampelj had six points (3-5 FG, 0-2 3Pt) and four rebounds before leaving. He has eight double-doubles and is leading the Bluejays with 8.1 rebounds to go with 11.9 points. If he is forced to miss time, Ronnie Harrell could move into the starting lineup and play a larger role.

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Krampelj will not return for the second have of Wednesday's game against Seton Hall due to an undisclosed injury.

Krampelj has been a double-double machine for the Blue Jays recently, supplying four of them in the last six games prior to Wednesday. While it will be difficult for the team to replace the Slovenian if the injury lasts beyond Wednesday evening, Manny Suarez, Toby Hegner and Mitch Ballock are all candidates to pick up additional minutes until his return. Krampelj's next opportunity to play arrives Saturday against Providence.

Krampelj equaled his season high in rebounds in his third straight double-double and sixth of the season. He is finally healthy after two years of injuries and is showing what he can do. In his last three games, the 6-9 sophomore has converted 78.9 percent (15-of-19) of his field goals.

Krempelj has developed into the frontcourt complement the Bluejays needed with Marcus Foster and Khryi Thomas on the wing. The 6-9 redshirt sophomore did not attempt a 3-pointer for the first time in six games and now has five double-doubles on the season. He is converting 65.0 percent of his field goals on his way to 12.7 points and 8.0 rebounds.

Krampelj has four double-doubles in his last six games and five on the season. He has provided the wing-heavy Bluejays with some frontcourt power, although his own attempts from the perimeter have largely been unsuccessful (28.6 percent on 3-pointers). He was limited to 20 minutes by foul trouble and will be more effective going forward if he can stay away from the whistle.
