Samuels caught three passes for six yards and a touchdown Saturday against Clemson, adding 12 rushes for 38 yards and a score.
ANALYSIS
The yardage was disappointing, as it was last week when he managed only 39 at Notre Dame. But owners hardly care when Samuels continues to find the end zone, something he's now done 12 times to date. It's likely only a matter of how that will happen in Week 11 at Boston College, not if.

Samuels is one of the more unique players in the college landscape as a tight end/h-back who serves as a key component to the Wolfpack offense. His impact as a runner took a step back last season, but he's still managed to rack up at least 55 catches and at least 13 total touchdowns each of the last two years. Although his rushing volume slid, he still got some red-zone opportunities and ran for five scores in those situations. There are other talented tight ends out there, but Samuels has unique upside at the position.
As far as college fantasy tight ends go, Samuels (5-11, 236) alone is the first tier, and no one is especially close to him. That's because he doubles not only as a prolific pass catcher, but also a regular running threat in the North Carolina State offense. In addition to 65 receptions for 597 yards and seven touchdowns, Samuels took 56 carries for 368 yards and nine more touchdowns in 13 games last year. It's not quite like when Devon Johnson had tight end classification two years ago, but it's pretty close. He could lead North Carolina State in both receptions and rushing TDs.
