Brantley appeared in 14 games and made three starts during his two seasons with Tulane, totaling 152 passing yards and an interception and 395 rushing yards and three scores. The rising junior was expected to serve as the top backup to junior-college transfer Jonathan Banks in 2018 before he announced in December that he would leave the program. According to Noah Newman of WAND News Decatur, Brantley will see snaps right away for Eastern Illinois in its opener this week against Arkansas, as he and Harry Woodbery are both slated to split time at quarterback.
