Lyles announced Monday via his personal Twitter account that he would transfer to Southern Illinois.
ANALYSIS
A three-star quarterback prospect in the Class of 2016, Lyles signed with Wisconsin and redshirted during his first season on campus. Lyles failed to see any action in 2017 and was buried on the depth chart prior to last spring, prompting him to transfer to Scottsdale Community College in 2018. He earned honorable mention NJCAA All-American honors after throwing for 25 touchdowns and 316.3 yards per game, production that resulted in him drawing interest from a number of FCS schools. He'll presumably look to finish out his final two years of collegiate eligibility with the Salukis.
