Nelson has been released from Florida Atlantic's football program, Jake Elman of the Palm Beach Post reports.
ANALYSIS
Although he was expected by some to play a big role in the Owls high-scoring offense, Nelson has been removed from the program for what they have called "attitude issues" after he reportedly argued with coaches and players over the summer conditioning program. His dismissal from the team will give John Mitchell, DeSean Holmes and Dane Cousart more of an opportunity to earn some playing chances by the time fall camp rolls around.
