Tye combined for 90 catches over the 2015 and 2016 seasons, as a member of the Giants. The 26-year-old could thus stick as a pass-catching reserve behind Rob Gronkowski, but he faces plenty of competition for a roster spot.

Tye took over for the injury-prone and inept Larry Donnell, but proved to be nothing special either in the blocking or pass-catching department. With first-rounder Evan Engram in the fold and blocking tight end Rhett Ellison good at his role, Tye will have a bit part on the 2017 Giants -- assuming he even makes the team.

Tye filled in passably when Larry Donnell got hurt last year (42-464-3) and could push him for work against this season. That said, Donnell is the likely starter at this point, and the team drafted Jerell Adams, an athletic pass catcher, in the sixth round.
