2018
Quinn earned a reserve/future contract with the Raiders in January of 2021, but making the 53-man roster ahead of the regular season will be a tall order for the 6-foot, 200-pound SMU product, who appeared in just one contest as a Jaguar in 2020. Slot receiver Hunter Renfrow still has two years left on his rookie contract, so Quinn's playing time would be minimal behind the likes of Henry Ruggs, John Brown and Bryan Edwards if he somehow finds a way to stick around.
The final pick of the 2018 draft, Quinn played just three games as a rookie while battling multiple ankle injuries, and he missed the final four weeks of his sophomore campaign with concussion symptoms. In between, he had a three-month stretch serving as Washington's primary slot receiver, a role that entailed only 3.9 targets per game while Quinn held it. Of course, he didn't do much to make a case for more work, averaging only 7.6 yards per catch and 4.2 yards per target.
Selected with the very last pick in the 2018 draft, Quinn is the most promising Mr. Irrelevant in quite some time. He stuck on the 53-man roster to open his rookie season, only to suffer an ankle sprain in the first quarter of his first game. Quinn returned later in the year and caught nine passes in a two-week stretch, but he then missed the rest of the season with another ankle injury. Returning healthy for the start of the offseason program, Quinn has a big opportunity in front of him after Washington let slot specialist Jamison Crowder leave during the offseason. At 6-0, 200 pounds, Quinn has more-than-adequate size for a slot specialist, and the Redskins don't have any other strong candidates for the role.
Mr. Irrelevant of the 2018 NFL Draft, Quinn's slide to the seventh round came as a surprise to many after he led the nation with 114 receptions at SMU in 2018. The Redskins didn't mind, though, and Quinn now enters a favorable situation for a late-round receiver. Outside of Jamison Crowder, Paul Richardson and Josh Doctson, no wideout is a lock to make the roster out of training camp. However, since Quinn doesn't profile as an outside receiver, his only path to regular playing time might rely on an injury to Crowder, who will likely dominate snaps from that area in 2018.
