Earns regular role with Canadiens
Kovacevic was told by Canadiens executive vice president of hockey operations Jeff Gorton on Monday to find a place to live in Montreal, Arpon Basu of The Athletic reports.

That's a clear indication that the Canadiens plan on keeping Kovacevic in the NHL for the foreseeable future. The 25-year-old defenseman had just four NHL games on his resume going into the season and was waived by Winnipeg on Oct. 7. Montreal claimed him though and Kovacevic has gone on to record one assists, a plus-4 rating, four PIM, 14 blocks and 19 hits in 15 games with the Canadiens this season.
