GOALIE
Ben Bishop, DAL at PHI ($7,400): The Stars played poorly Friday in a 5-2 loss to New Jersey, so this checks out as a tough road spot in the second leg of a back-to-back set. Still, Dallas has surrendered the fifth fewest high-danger scoring chances and expected goals against per 60 minutes. After sitting the past three contests in favor of Kari Lehtonen, look for the American netminder to be in sound form against Philly. The Flyers are also ripe for a letdown showing, as they enter in the midst of a five-game winning streak.
CENTER
Evgeni Malkin, PIT at ARI ($7,300): After returning from an upper-body injury that cost him four contests, Malkin recorded a six-game point streak with two goals, five helpers and 20 shots. It was snapped last time out, so look for the Russian to turn in a bounce-back performance against the lowly Coyotes. He owns an elite 3.12 points per 60 minutes, and Arizona has allowed the second most goals and fifth most high-danger scoring chances per 60 in the league.
Phillip Danault, MON at OTT ($4,900): With three goals, seven points and 14 shots through his past seven games, Danault has found his scoring groove of late. Playing with Max Pacioretty has been a boon for the 24-year-old center's fantasy stock in the past, and the duo have combined for a respectable 3.33 goals per 60 minutes this season. There's value in this cap hit against Ottawa, as the Senators have lost 12 of their past 14 contests while surrendering 3.56 goals and 11.47 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes with an .888 team save percentage.
WING
Tyler Johnson, TB at COL ($4,900): His salary hasn't caught up to Johnson's recent offensive uptick. He's recorded a multi-point showing in five of the past six games tallying four goals, seven assists and 14 shots. The surge also aligns with Johnson's return to a top-six role, and he projects to skate with Brayden Point and Ondrej Palat against the Avs. Colorado has quickly returned to being a target-worthy matchup with 3.29 goals per 60 minutes allowed over the past 10 games.
Jakob Silfverberg, ANA at WAS ($4,900): Projected to skate alongside Ryan Getzlaf and rookie Kevin Roy on the No. 1 line, Silfverberg is positioned for offensive success. The 27-year-old Swede has recorded just two goals on 23 shots and owns an 8.4 shooting percentage for the campaign. Look for his assignment alongside Getzlaf to help his scoring efficiency, and potentially make him a bargain at his current price.
Oliver Bjorkstrand, CLM at CAR ($3,800): With consecutive multi-point showings and a goal, six assists and 12 shots through his past five contests, Bjorkstrand is taking advantage of his top-six role and power-play time. With Carolina on the second leg of a back-to-back set, this could be a nice spot to take a flier on the emerging Dane.
DEFENSE
Kris Letang, PIT at ARI ($6,500): As noted, this is a soft matchup for the Penguins, so Letang's go-to offensive role (24:51 of ice time with 3:51 on the man advantage) makes him an intriguing option. Prior to his current two-game point drought, the blueliner recorded 13 points and 39 shots through his previous 13 contests, so his upside is obvious. It's also worth highlighting the special teams mismatch, as Arizona's middle-of-the-pack penalty kill will likely struggle.
Jacob Trouba, WPG at STL ($4,600): With an uptick in ice time (22:34 over the past three contests), Trouba's salary stands out as a bargain. He projects to skate with the No. 1 power-play unit and is a solid source of supporting numbers through his shot volume and willingness to block pucks. This is a tough road matchup, but that should also keep Trouba's ownership percentage in check.
