FanDuel NHL: Sunday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Sunday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Connor Hellebuyck, WPG vs STL ($7,700): Hellebuyck has been shaky of late. After he took a seat in last night's matchup between these two teams, expect Hellebuyck to sit between the pipes tonight at home. In his last start against St. Louis, he pitched a 29-save shutout and has the upside to do that again tonight. He's always in play for DFS at home, especially against a Blues team that has scored just three goals in their last three games.

Center

Erik Haula, VGK vs FLA ($5,900): The Golden Knights continue to surprise, and part of their great play this season has to do with their strength up the middle, from their top two center icemen Haula and William Karlsson. In this spot, Haula comes in with at least a point in each of his last five games, amassing three goals and five assists over that span. Vegas averages 32 shots on goal per game, which bodes well for them facing Florida who allow 35.1 shots on goal per game, the second-most in the league.

Eric Staal, MIN at CHI ($6,100): In his last three games, Staal has two goals and two assists to go along with 12 shots on goal. He skates on the top line and sees power-play time for the Wil, whose power play is the sixth-best in the NHL with a 21.6 percent success rate. In his last three games against Chicago, Staal has two goals and eight shots on goal.

Wing

David Perron, VGK vs FLA ($6,100): Perron has played four games since returning from a brief absence due to injury and has scored in each contest, totaling one goal, which came on the power play, and four assists. He's skating on the first line and top power-play unit and slides in as a solid option on the wing against Florida, who has allowed 11 goals and 19 assists to left wings in their last 13 games, the fourth-most fantasy points over that span.

Daniel Sedin, VAN vs CGY ($5,900): Sedin has come around lately with points in three of his last four games with 13 shots on goal over that time. He's skating with his brother Henrik and budding star Brock Boeser on the first line and on the power play. He has at least one point in two of his last three games against Calgary. The Canucks should benefit in this spot as the Flames are playing their second game in as many nights.

Nick Bjugstad, FLA at VGK ($3,900): In a game that should see plenty of scoring, you'll be hard-pressed to find a skater as cheap as Bjugstad with solid upside. He skates on the first line with Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau as well as on the top power-play unit. He has at least three shots on goal in seven of his last eight games with three goals and an assist over that span.

Defense

Aaron Ekblad, FLA at VGK ($4,900): After a three-game goal streak, Ekblad has gone scoreless in his last three contests but is in a prime spot to bounce back tonight against Vegas. Over the past month, the Golden Knights have allowed the fourth-most fantasy points to defensemen with nine goals and 18 assists allowed. He sees time on the power play with the second unit but does slide in on the top unit from time to time.

Colton Parayko, STL at WPG ($5,100): Parayko has seen a ton of ice time with Alex Pietrangelo out due to injury. He's recorded double-digit fantasy points in seven of his last 11 games, including last night against this same Winnipeg team with a power-play assist, two shots on goal and two blocked shots. The Jets have allowed the fifth-most fantasy points over the last month to defensemen with nine goals and 25 assists allowed over the 13-game span.
