FanDuel NHL: Tuesday Values

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Pekka Rinne, NSH vs VGK ($8,400): Rinne is coming off back-to-back wins and has averaged 24.4 fantasy points over the two contests. Rinne has 21 wins this season, fifth most in the league and has a .925 save percentage. The Predators have been very tough at home with a 13-4-2 record. The Golden Knights are a high-scoring team, but Rinne should see a heavy shot volume, which will increase his upside.

Center

Nico Hischier, NJD at NYI ($5,900): Hischier has compiled eight goals and 19 assists in his rookie season. The Islanders have allowed the most fantasy points to centers over the last four weeks with 17 goals and 31 assists surrendered to the position over that span. Hischier has points in three of his last four games and is underpriced at $5,900.

Joe Thornton, SJ at ARI ($5,600): With the Coyotes allowing the sixth most fantasy points to centers over the last month, Thornton draws a good matchup and one that he's had success in this season. He has two goals and two assists in his last two games against the Coyotes. In 42 games, the 38-year-old has 31 points (10 goals, 21 assists) with five goals on the power play.

Wing

Kyle Palmieri, NJD at NYI ($5,400): Palmieri has played just 23 games this season, but has seven goals and eight assists. Five of his goals have been on power-play tallies, and he's been on a great run of late. He's averaged 17.17 fantasy points over his last four games with two power-play goals, an assist, and 18 shots on goal over that stretch.

William Nylander, TOR vs STL ($5,900): Nylander was on a great run before the Leafs went on their bye week with four goals and seven assists over an 11-game span. In 45 games he has 32 points this season, with seven coming on the power play. Toronto is averaging 3.16 goals per game, the seventh highest mark in the league.

Wayne Simmonds, PHI at NYR ($5,800): Simmonds has points in five of his last six games with four goals and two assists. In his last nine games against the Rangers, he has four goals and three assists. The Rangers have allowed the fourth most fantasy points to right wings over the last four weeks.

Defense

Ivan Provorov, PHI at NYR ($5,400): Provorov has eight goals and 14 assists on the season, averaging 2.4 shots on goal and 2.23 blocks per game. He has points in each of his last four games with three goals and four assists. Provorov has double-digit fantasy points in seven of his last eight games. Provorov's ice time, over 24 minutes on average, suggests that he offers a solid floor Tuesday.

Sami Vatanen, NJD at NYI ($4,800): Vatanen has points in five of his last seven games, showing some of the offensive talent that the Ducks traded away earlier this season. The Islanders have allowed the second most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks and the most on the season overall.
