FanDuel NHL: Wednesday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Wednesday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Tristan Jarry, PIT at ANH ($8,200): Jarry has wins in four of his last five games while filling in for Matt Murray as the starter. In the four victories, he's allowed a total of four goals with one shutout and posted 24.8, 31.2, and 44.8 fantasy points. The Ducks are 25th in goals scored per game with an average of 2.67.

Center

Jonathan Drouin, MTL at BOS ($5,400): Drouin has played well of late with points in three straight contests. He has four points in his last three games against the Bruins. While the Canadiens and Drouin have underwhelmed offensively this season, Drouin has enough upside on this short slate to contribute at his suppressed salary.

David Krejci, BOS vs MTL ($5,900): Krejci has goals in each of his last two games against the Canadiens and has been centering the second line with Jake DeBrusk and Ryan Spooner lately. He has points in back-to-back games and in four of his last six contests. After missing a good portion of this season due to injury, Krejci has 19 points in 24 games while averaging just under 17 minutes of ice time per contest.

Wing

Patric Hornqvist, PIT at ANH ($5,900): Hornqvist is an underpriced stud skating on the second line and top power-play unit for the Penguins. Of his 13 goals, seven have come on the power play. With his high volume of shots on goal — 3.24 per game — Hornqvist offers a solid floor with the ever-present upside that most of the offensive players in Pittsburgh possess.

Alex Galchenyuk, MTL at BOS ($5,600): The winger has two goals and two assists during a four-game point streak. Galchenyuk has points in three of four games against the Bruins this year with two goals and two assists. It took a little while for Galchenyuk to get going this season, but he has 11 goals — six on the power play — and 15 assists in 44 games.

Paul Byron, MTL at BOS ($3,900): Byron is the kind of guy that could make a huge difference on a short slate like Wednesday's. In 10 games against Boston, Byron has six goals. He's not the most skilled player, but he sees 15-plus minutes of ice time per game on the second line and has goals in two of his last three games.

Defense

Charlie McAvoy, BOS vs MTL ($4,700): McAvoy has made quite the impression as a 20-year-old. He's playing big-time minutes, around 23 per game, and has five goals and 19 assists in 42 contests. He has three assists in his last two games, and the Canadiens have been susceptible to defensemen in allowing 21 points to them over the last 10 games.

Jeff Petry, MTL at BOS ($4,100): Petry continues to be an offensive force in the absence of Shea Weber. He has four assists over a three-game point streak with an average of four shots on goal over that span. As long as Petry stays this underpriced, his floor makes him impossible to ignore.
