FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Saturday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

Ryan Miller, ANH at ARI ($8,200): Miller is coming off a 41-save shutout, his third of the season, and faces the Coyotes who are struggling at home with a 9-17-4 record. As well, they are 30th in the league with 2.40 goals per game and have lost five of their last seven contests against the Ducks. Miller might yield some heavy ownership considering his previous performance and his matchup on Saturday, but he appears to be one of the safest options.

Center

Brayden Point, TB at MTL ($6,400): Point is locked-in over his last three outings, with four goals and 12 shots on goal. The Canadiens have been pretty friendly to centers over the last 11 by allowing 12 goals and 23 assists. With Carey Price out indefinitely, Point is in a good spot skating with the highest scoring team in the NHL.

Anze Kopitar, LA vs EDM ($7,400): Kopitar is often overlooked as one of the better center icemen in the NHL, but the Slovenian star has proved his worth by racking up 25 goals and 39 assists with five power-play tallies on the season. With six goals, five assists, and 3.1 shots on goal per game over his last 10, Kopitar comes into this matchup against the Oilers, a side against whom he's logged a goal and three assists in his last two.

Wing

Evgenii Dadonov, FLA vs PIT ($5,600): The Panthers are hot, winning seven of their last 10 by averaging 3.10 GPG over that span. Dadonov has recorded four goals and three assists in his last six skating on the first line with Aleksander Barkov and Nick Bjugstad. The Penguins come in on their second game in as many nights and are likely to start backup Tristan Jerry in net.

Brendan Gallagher, MTL vs TB ($6,800): Gallagher has a point in eight of his last nine outings, with three goals, six assists, and 33 shots on goal. The right winger ranks third in the league with 7.23 high-danger scoring chances per 60 minutes. With 21 goals and 15 assists on the campaign, Gallagher will likely set a career high in goals this season and he'll look to move closer to that feat on Saturday.

Evander Kane, BUF at WSH ($6,400): As the trade deadline looms, Kane remains a hot target for contending teams and is heating up at the right time. The sniper has a goal in back-to-back games with 12 shots on goal over that span. Against the Capitals, Kane has notched three goals and 13 shots on goal in his last two and should continue his production on the first line with Ryan O'Reilly and Sam Reinhart.

Defense

Morgan Rielly, TOR vs BOS ($4,500): Rielly is quickly becoming one of the NHL's better offensive defensemen with six goals, 29 assists and 135 shots on goal in 57 games. The 23-year-old has recorded a point in six of his last seven against the Bruins, totaling two goals and five assists. Rielly will surpass his previous career high in points (35) this season and looks to be a nice bargain on Saturday.

Zach Werenski, CBJ vs CHI ($5,200): Werenski has recorded four points and 17 shots on goal over his last six appearances. The Blackhawks have allowed the most fantasy points to defensemen over the last four weeks by surrendering six goals and 24 assists. The young rearguard averages 2.85 shots on goal and 23:22 per game, and sits as the 16th highest-priced defensemen on the slate.
