FantasyDraft NHL: Sunday Values

This article is part of our FantasyDraft NHL series.

You may be feeling a little run-down after St. Patrick's Day, but hopefully you have enough energy to put together a daily fantasy lineup Sunday. There are a few afternoon games, with the first kicking at 3:00 p.m. Eastern, so be ready to get things in early. Here are some recommendations from Sunday's eight NHL games.

GOALIE

Winnipeg Jets, WPG vs. DAL ($16,200): The Stars have been struggling recently with a 3-3-4 record in their last 10 games and have a four-game losing streak. On top of that, Dallas has only scored 2.51 goals per contest on the road. Connor Hellebuyck has started the bulk of the games for the Jets, and with good reason. He's picked up a win in 36 of his 59 games while posting a 2.35 GAA and a .925 save percentage.

CENTER

Ryan Getzlaf, ANA vs. NJD ($14,800): Getzlaf has tallied 52 points in 47 games, including 16 in his last 10 contests. He's also notched 11 points with the extra man. The Devils have a 3.09 GAA and have allowed 34.9 shots on net per game on the road. New Jersey is also on the second day of a back-to-back, and Cory Schneider is likely to start. In three games since he returned from injury, he has a 3.11 GAA and an .887 save percentage.

Jonathan Toews, CHI vs. STL ($11,500): After tallying a goal and an assist Saturday, Toews now has 20 goals and 51 points in 72 games. He's also put 209 shots on net, including 44 in his last 15 contests. The Blues are on the road for the second night of a back-to-back, and Carter Hutton is still banged up. If he doesn't get healthy quick, Jake Allen may have to start again, or Ville Husso will get his first NHL start.

WING

Jaden Schwartz, STL at CHI ($12,700): Schwartz has started 64.3 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, second-highest on the Blues. He's also averaged 3:22 per game on the power play and tallied nine points with the extra man in 50 contests. The Blackhawks, like the Blues, are playing their second game in as many days. Since Jean-Francois Berube started Saturday, Anton Forsberg will likely be in net for this one. He has a 3.29 GAA and an .889 save percentage in his last 13 outings.

Yanni Gourde, TAM vs. EDM ($11,800): Gourde has notched seven points in his last nine contests, and he has 12 points with the extra man. The Oilers, on the other hand, have the league's worst penalty kill. Also, since Cam Talbot started Saturday, Al Montoya (3.46 GAA, .884 save percentage) could be in net for Edmonton. That would certainly bode well for Gourde.

Teuvo Teravainen, CAR at NYI ($11,700): Teravainen has a four-game point streak and has tallied 10 points in his last nine contests. Don't be surprised to see him extend that steak against the lowly Islanders. Not only does New York have a league-high 3.59 GAA, at home that number jumps all the way up to 3.76.

DEFENSEMEN

Shayne Gostisbehere, PHI vs. WAS ($11,800): Gostisbehere's scoring has dipped a bit, but he still has 52 points in 68 games. He's also started 58.5 percent of his shifts in the offensive zone, the highest on the Flyers, and has averaged 3:49 per game with the extra man. The Capitals, for their part, have a 3.43 GAA and have allowed 33.7 shots on net per contest on the road.

Ryan Pulock, NYI vs. CAR ($8,800): Pulock has enjoyed two multi-point games in a row, and over his last 11 contests, he's put 39 shots on net. The Hurricanes have a 3.29 GAA and a .884 save percentage on the road, and on top of that they are on the second day of a back-to-back. Because of that, there's a good chance Scott Darling (3.08 GAA, .888 save percentage) will be in net for Carolina.
