DraftKings NHL: Tuesday Picks

This article is part of our DraftKings NHL series.

GOALIE

Martin Jones, SAN vs. NJD ($8,100): The Sharks are sizeable favorites in this matchup with New Jersey playing its fifth consecutive road game and third in four nights. Jones hasn't been sharp of late with 10 goals allowed through his past three outings. However, he's also won six of his past eight starts, and the Sharks have been strong at home all season (21-11-3).

CENTER

Connor McDavid, EDM at CAR ($7,600): With Carolina owning the second lowest team save percentage (.884) since Feb. 1, this matchup sets up well for McDavid. He's just four points back in the Art Ross race and has collected six goals, eight assists and five multi-point showings through nine March games. This is a manageable salary, too.

Pierre-Luc Dubois, CLM at NYR ($4,900): The young center has failed to mark the scoresheet in each of the past five games despite receiving top offensive minutes. However, as long as he's skating with Artemi Panarin and Cam Atkinson, Dubois is positioned to succeed. The trio has combined for 4.83 goals per 60 minutes this season, and the Rangers have surrendered 3.55 goals and 13.12 high-danger scoring chances per hour since the All-Star break.

WING

Mikko Rantanen, COL at CHI ($6,600): It's been a scorching stretch for Rantanen, as he's registered a point in 10 of his past 11 games for six tallies and 15 helpers. The Blackhawks have allowed the second most goals per game in the league since the All-Star break, and Rantanen's chemistry can't be overlooked, as the duo has connected for 5.76 goals per 60 minutes.

Ty Rattie, EDM at CAR ($4,000): Projected to skate on the top line with Connor McDavid and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins, Rattie checks out as a strong value. The 25-year-old winger posted 21 goals and 22 assists through 53 AHL games this season, and he's also collected two tallies, a helper and nine shots through two contests since being promoted up the Oilers' depth chart.

Oskar Lindblom, PHI at DET ($3,200): Currently skating on an intriguing second line with Nolan Patrick and Jakub Voracek, Lindblom is beginning to gain some offensive momentum with a point in consecutive games. He's showcased scoring upside in both the SHL and AHL, and there's noting scary about a matchup with the Red Wings. Detroit is 7-14-3 while allowing 3.25 goals per game since the All-Star break.

DEFENSE

John Carlson, WAS vs. DAL ($5,900): The American defenseman has collected two goals and four assists during his active five-game point streak, and he continues to log huge minutes (25:02 per game with 3:42 on the power play). This price also stands out as a discount with Dallas playing the final contest of a six-game road trip. The Stars have lost each of the first five while allowing 20 goals.

Justin Faulk, CAR vs. EDM ($5,000): Since scoring a hat trick Feb. 13, Faulk has gone 15 games and 42 shots without recording a goal. Additionally, his 3.4 shooting percentage is fraction of the 8.1 mark he posted over the previous two years. The high-volume shooter lands in a favorable matchup against Edmonton, as the Oilers have surrendered the fifth most goals per 60 minutes (8.97) while shorthanded this season.
