FanDuel NHL: Thursday Value Plays

FanDuel NHL: Thursday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NHL series.

Goalie

James Reimer, FLA at OTT ($7,900): Reimer is on a roll winning four straight starts with two shutouts and just four total goals allowed. He's likely to start as the Panthers are playing their second game in as many nights. Look for Reimer to see a lot of shots, increasing his upside.

Center

Jack Eichel, BUF vs DET ($7,400): The Red Wings have allowed 14 goals and 30 assists to centers over their last 14 games. With two goals in his last outing, Eichel finally came through with a good effort, which was bound to happen after he fired 19 SOG over his previous five games without any results.

Jeff Carter, LA vs ARI ($6,600): L.A. has been a much different group with Jeff Carter on the ice. The veteran has six goals and two assists to go with 24 SOG over his last eight games. In 30 career games against the Coyotes, Carter has 20 points, including two goals and three assists in his last five matchups.
Wing

Patric Hornqvist, PIT at NJ ($6,400): Hornqvist has four goals, two assists and 29 SOG in his last six games. The Penguins possess the best power play in the NHL at 25.9 percent, and Hornqvist is a big part of that, scoring 14 of his 24 goals with the man advantage. The Devils have been playing well of lat, but with all of the high-danger chances that Hornqvist gets, his size and finishing ability should allow him to produce.

Kyle Connor, WPG at CHI ($5,000): Winnipeg has had a tremendous season while the Blackhawks are missing the Stanley Cup Playoffs for the first time in years. Connor has seven goals and two assists in his last seven games and had two goals against Chicago on Mar. 15. Over the last four weeks, Chicago's allowed the second-most fantasy points to left wingers, including 11 goals and 25 assists.

Dustin Brown, LA vs ARI ($5,900): If you're looking for a value correlation play for the slate, look no further than Dustin Brown paired with Anze Kopitar. Brown has three goals and six assists in his last seven games and seven goals with three assists in his last 13 against Arizona. Brown skates with Kopitar on the first line, top power-play unit, and even on the penalty kill. Brown is a direct benefactor of Kopitar's production, which is great against the Coyotes. The pivot has 17 points in his last 13 games against Arizona.

Defense

Dustin Byfuglien, WPG at CHI ($5,900): Byfuglien has two points in his last five games, but he should get back on track on Thursday against his former team. The Blackhawks have been abysmal against defensemen over the last month, allowing the most fantasy points to the position, including 11 goals and 34 assists in 14 games.

Keith Yandle, FLA at OTT ($5,600): Yandle has a point in four of his last five contests. The Senators have allowed 28 points in their last 14 games to defensemen, and Yandle has seven points in his last 10 against them.
