November 3, 2017
Freeman lost to Saad Awad via TKO (punches) at 1:07 of Round 1 at Bellator 186 on Friday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Freeman came into this fight looking to score a second consecutive upset. In his Bellator debut, he stoppaged prospect Aaron Pico in only 24 seconds. However, Freeman could not make lightning strike twice against Awad. Freeman landed some solid leg kicks early, but when Awad wanted to strike he landed hard and finished the fight. Freeman falls to 9-3 overall at 1-1 in Bellator.
Shocks top prospect Aaron Pico at Bellator 180

June 24, 2017
Freeman defeated Aaron Pico via submission (guillotine choke) at 0:24 of Round 1 at Bellator 180 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
The lead up to this fight was all about Pico. He was the top prospect, and Freeman was simply the opponent. Well that all ended when the opening bell rang. Pico came across the cage. Freeman landed a hard uppercut that stunned Pico. Freeman then locked on a tight guillotine that finished the fight. Obviously, the promotion was likely not planning bringing back Freeman after this fight, but now he moves to 9-2 as a professional and he could continue to shock the world.
