RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes is dealing with a left ankle injury and is considered questionable for Tuesday's matchup with the Liberty, High Post Hoops reports.

Hayes saw just 19 minutes of action during Saturday's game against the Fever, so she clearly tweaked the ankle during that contest. The fact that she isn't being ruled out a day ahead of Tuesday's game provides some optimism that it's not an overly serious issue, though she'll still be considered questionable for now. Look for additional updates to be provided following the team's morning shootaround and/or pregame warmups. It'd be a tough blow for the Dream considering Hayes' season averages of 17.9 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.4 steals.

Tiffany Hayes: Past News Updates   ( ▲ View most recent update )

June 15, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes produced 23 points (6-18 FG, 0-8 3Pt, 11-15 FT), five rebounds, one steal and one block in Thursday's 72-67 victory over the Fever.

Despite missing every three-point attempt Thursday, Hayes' 23 points were a game-high as she managed an effective 11-of-15 performance from the free-throw line. The UConn product has opened the 2018 season scoring in double figures in every game thus far and is currently averaging a team-leading 19.0 points per game.

June 12, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes recorded 23 points (10-17 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 2-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal in the 67-64 win over the Storm on Sunday.

This was Hayes' third straight game scoring above the 20-point plateau as she knocked down 58.8 percent of her 17 shot attempts to lead the Dream in scoring Sunday. The former UConn star is so far leading the Dream with 18.9 points per outing while shooting 43.4 percent overall from the field.

June 6, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes produced 22 points (7-13 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), seven rebounds, four assists and three steals in Tuesday's 82-77 victory over the Sun.

Hayes tied a season high Tuesday by reaching the 22-point mark on 53.8 percent shooting overall, including a two-of-five performance from deep. Currently, the former UConn star is averaging a team-leading 17.3 points per contest across the first six games.

May 30, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes totaled 20 points (5-12 FG, 2-7 3Pt, 8-8 FT), two rebounds, two assists and two steals during the Dream's 76-74 victory over the visiting Lynx on Tuesday.

Hayes led all in-game scorers Tuesday as she reached the 20-point mark for the second time this season, although she struggled from the floor somewhat. The 29-year-old is currently shooting a career-worst 36.0 percent overall but her points-per-game average is at a career-high of 17.5 per contest, thanks heavily to her terrific performances at the free-throw line in five games.

May 24, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with 22 points (7-15 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal during Wednesday's 81-63 win at Chicago.

Hayes led all in-game scorers Saturday by shooting 46.7 percent from the floor over 15 attempts and while draining four-of-six three-pointers. Currently through two games, the 29-year-old is leading the Dream in scoring by a wide margin at 18.0 points per game.

May 22, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes amassed 14 points (2-6 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 10-10 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one steal during Sunday's 101-78 loss at Dallas.

Hayes only attempted six shots from the floor Sunday over 25 minutes of action but picked up the slack by getting to the free-throw line and converting a perfect 10-of-10. The 29-year-old did foul-out in Sunday's contest with just under six minutes left to play which limited her in-game stats just a bit.

May 20, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes (elbow) has been cleared to play in Sunday's season opener against the Wings.

Hayes was dealing with some minor discomfort in her elbow recently, but it won't cost her any time and she'll work with the starters as usual. That's fantastic news for the Dream considering Hayes averaged 16.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals across 30.0 minutes per game last season. She'll continue to be one of the team's top options offensively heading into the 2018 campaign, making her a very intriguing DFS option.

May 18, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes is dealing with an elbow injury ahead of Sunday's game against the Wings, Ben Dull of High Post Hoops reports.

The extent of the injury is unclear, but Jessica Breland and Damiris Dantas may be called upon to have a larger role if Hayes ultimately sits out of the season opener.

May 6, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes managed 16 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three rebounds and one block during Sunday's 78-61 preseason win over Chicago.

Hayes needed only 16 minutes of action to lead all Dream scorers Sunday as she shot an efficient 83.3 percent from the field. The 28-year-old begins her sixth WNBA campaign this year and will look to build upon her career-high 16.3 points-per-game average established last season with the Dream. Atlanta's next preseason game is Friday at Connecticut.

August 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes tallied 24 points, three rebounds and four assists across 38 minutes in Saturday's win over the Fever.

Hayes has been terrific since returning from injury three games ago, as she's averaging 19.7 points and 3.7 assists per game over that stretch, which is beginning to make up for her slow start to August. Hayes remains a solid DFS option with high upside due to her ability to score in bunches.

August 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes posted a team-high 22 points (6-17 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 9-10 FT) and two assists across 36 minutes in Saturday's loss to the Wings.

After Hayes missed Tuesday's game against the Sun due to a rib injury, the Dream guard managed to return to form Saturday with her highest point total of August. Given her heavy dose of minutes, it appears as though Hayes has returned to full health, but her lack of scoring production in August keeps her as a somewhat risky DFS play with plenty of upside.

August 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes played just four minutes during Saturday's 68-84 loss to the Stars, posting three points (1-2 FG, 1-1 3Pt) and one rebound.

It's unclear exactly why Hayes was pulled from the game so early, but it's a situation to monitor heading into Tuesday's game against the Sun. She had combined to shoot just 6-of-22 from the field in her two games prior to Saturday, so she may just be a bit tired and the coaching staff wanted to get her extra rest on a back-to-back set. Still, Hayes is the Dream's top option offensively with averages 15.9 points, 4.2 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.3 steals across 29.5 minutes, so it'd be a tough blow if she was forced to miss any more time.

August 3, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with 10 points (4-11 FG, 2-4 3Pt), seven rebounds, one assist and one block across 31 minutes during Thursday's 69-54 loss to the Lynx.

After dropping just three points on 1-of-6 shooting Sunday, Hayes' struggles continued, as she managed just 10 points on 4-of-11 from the field Thursday. While her efficiency certainly improved, it's far what we've come to expect from Hayes, a 17.1 PPG scorer on the year. The past two games could be a mild cause for concern, but Hayes has been generally reliable all season, making it likely she could bounce back during the Dream's next outing.

August 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes accumulated three points (1-6 FG, 0-1 3Pt, 1-1 FT), two rebounds, one assist and one steal across 21 minutes during Sunday's 77-70 loss to the Mystics.

The Mystics did a great job of containing Hayes, a 17.1 point-per-game scorer, limiting her to a season-low three points on 1-of-6 shooting -- just the second time she's scored in single digits this season. She also failed to provide significant value in any other aspect of the box score. All in all, Sunday's performance can be considered Hayes' worst outing of the year -- though certainly an outlier. Heading into the game, she had scored at least 19 points in each of her previous five appearances.

July 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes tallied 25 points (9-17 FG, 3-9 3Pt, 4-6 FT), five assists and one rebound across 31 minutes during Friday's 90-80 loss to the Lynx.

Hayes continues to demonstrate why she was voted an All-Star this season, dropping an efficient 25 points Friday. She's been on a roll over the past five games, averaging 22.4 points, 3.6 rebounds, 3.6 assists and 1.2 steals across 32.8 minutes per game. With numbers like that, she should be considered in DFS every night the Dream take the floor.

July 26, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes tallied 19 points (7-11 FG, 0-2 3Pt, 5-6 FT), five assists, four rebounds and a season-high four steals across 34 minutes during Tuesday's 99-91 victory over the Mercury.

Hayes -- an All-Star this season -- showed off her upside as a two-way player Tuesday, recording a season-high four steals along with her efficient offensive production. Ultimately, as an All-Star posting 17.4 points, 4.4 boards, 2.5 assists and 1.6 steals across 31.6 minutes, Hayes is someone to consider in DFS every night.

July 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes will make her first WNBA All-Star appearance Saturday in Seattle.

The fifth-year pro enjoyed a strong first half of the season, averaging a team-high 17.3 points to go with 4.4 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. Hayes is shooting nearly 45 percent from the floor and 39 percent from three.

July 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes contributed 24 points (8-16 FG, 4-6 3Pt, 4-4 FT), three assists and two rebounds across 36 minutes during Wednesday's 100-96 overtime loss to the Mystics.

Just one game after setting her season-high 25 points, Hayes scored 24 points in an overtime game, though it didn't lead to a victory. The fact remains, however, that Hayes is one of safest options to deploy in DFS, as she's scored in single digits just once this season and also chips in a solid 4.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.5 steals across 31.3 minutes per game.

July 18, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with a season-high 25 points (7-15 FG, 1-5 3Pt, 10-12 FT) to go along with seven rebounds (matching her season high), two assists, two steals and one block across 29 minutes during Tuesday's 88-75 victory over the Stars.

Hayes made easy work of the struggling Stars on Tuesday, setting a season-high 25 points and matching her season-high seven boards. Overall, she's on track to have arguably her best season. Hayes is on pace to set career highs in points (16.5), rebounds (4.4), steals (1.5) per game, as well as three-point (38.1) and free-throw (83.5) percentage. She's one of the more safe options to deploy in DFS, as she's scored in single digits just once this season.

July 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished Saturday's 84-90 loss to the Storm with 19 points (8-15 FG, 1-6 3Pt, 2-2 FT), four rebounds, two assists and two turnovers across 35 minutes.

While Hayes struggled from beyond the arc, she still put in some solid work in the paint and finished Saturday's contest shooting 53 percent from the floor. She ended up with 19 points for the second time over the last three games and continues to lead the team with an average of 16.5 points per contest. That impressive scoring potential, as well as a solid all-around arsenal elsewhere, makes Hayes an option to consider in DFS contests almost every night she's on the court.

July 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with 19 points (6-12 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 6-6 FT), seven rebounds, three assists, two steals and a block across 27 minutes during Sunday's 98-78 victory over the Wings.

Hayes has been on a nice roll over the past five games, providing 15.0 points, 4.4 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.4 steals across 30.0 minutes per game. While those aren't staggering stats, the quality assist, rebound and steal numbers can lead to nice fantasy outputs. Overall, Hayes should probably be considered in DFS on most nights due to her solid workload and all-around skill.

July 6, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes dropped a team-high 16 points (3-11 FG, 1-5 3PT, 9-10 FT) to go with four rebounds, four assists, and three steals across 34 minutes in Wednesday's 84-94 loss to the Wings.

Hayes is on track to have her most productive season of her career, averaging 16.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.5 steals across 31.8 minutes per contest. Despite shooting 27 percent from the field on Wednesday, the guard is typically more dynamic and as is evident from Wednesday, she still has the ability to produce high numbers regardless of a low shooting percentage.

July 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes tallied 11 points (3-8 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 4-4 FT), two rebounds, four assists, three steals and three turnovers across 30 minutes during Sunday's 72-81 win over the Liberty.

It wasn't Hayes' best performance of the season, as she shot just 37 percent from the field and 25 percent from the three-point line. That said, fantasy owners shouldn't be overly concerned with the lower output, as Hayes owns season averages of 16.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.4 steals, which could mean a bounce-back performance as soon as Wednesday's tilt with the Wings. Hayes is far and away the team's best option offensively, so don't expect her to be discouraged with Sunday's results.

June 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with 17 points (4-11 FG, 3-5 3Pt, 6-7 FT), two assists, two rebounds and one steal across 30 minutes during Thursday's 85-74 loss to the Fever.

Thursday was a relatively average outing for Hayes, who averages 17.6 points, 4.6 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals across 31.9 minutes per game. She had been struggling a bit over the previous few contests due to the surge of Damiris Dantas and Bria Holmes, but bounced back in solid fashion. With her current averages, she certainly makes for a fair option in DFS.

June 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished Tuesday's 91-86 win over the Storm with 13 points (5-11 FG, 3-4 3Pt), four rebounds, one assist, one steal and four turnovers across 34 minutes.

Hayes has seen a slight decline in her scoring numbers of late, posting 13 and nine points, respectively, over the Dream's last two games, which are her two lowest totals of the season. That's likely due to recent surge from players like Damiris Dantas and Bria Holmes, rather than Hayes' own personal struggles, so it's not too concerning at this point. Hayes was still able to hit double figures and she still leads the team in scoring average by a hefty margin at 17.7 points per game, so look for an uptick in usage in the coming few games.

June 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes struggled to just nine points (2-4 FG, 5-6 FT) during Saturday's 71-104 loss to the Sun, while adding six rebounds and two turnovers across 30 minutes.

Hayes got of just four field goal attempts, which led her to her lowest scoring output of the year. The Sun continually took Hayes out of the game offensively, which was a huge contributing factor to the Dream taking such a lopsided loss. On the season thus far, Hayes has averaged 18.3 points, 5.0 rebounds, 1.3 assists and 1.2 steals across 31.8 minutes, so Saturday's game was clearly an uncharacteristic performance and Hayes should be on bounce back watch heading into Tuesday's tilt with the Storm.

June 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with 14 points (5-14 FG, 1-2 3PT, 3-4 FT), three rebounds, one steal, and a turnover in Wednesday's loss to the Liberty.

Shooting 35.7 percent from the field, Hayes' performance Wednesday goes down as one of her least productive games she's had this season. Hayes is currently averaging 19.6 points, 4.9 rebounds, 1.4 assists, and 1.4 steals per tilt in her 2017 campaign. Despite recording her lowest-scoring game of the season on Wednesday, Hayes is still a strong fantasy candidate as she has consistently scored in the double figures throughout her seven games in the regular season.

June 5, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes posted 24 points (8-19 FG, 1-4 3Pt, 7-9 FT), six rebounds, one assist and two steals over 35 minutes in Sunday's loss to the Mystics.

Hayes' strong start to the 2017 season continued Sunday as she matched her season-highs in both points and rebounds. Through six games this year, Hayes looks to be well on her way to having the most productive season of her career, as she has shown no signs of slowing down. So long as Hayes continues to play heavy minutes and get plenty of shots up, she'll likely continue to be a reliable DFS option.

May 31, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with 16 points (6-15 FG, 2-3 3PT, 2-4 FT) and four rebounds in Wednesday's win over the Stars.

Hayes continues to enjoy a strong start to the season, as Wednesday's 16 points marked her lowest output through five games. While Hayes isn't a strong source of assists, she's averaging 5.0 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game while knocking down multiple three-pointers on four occasions.

May 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes (ankle) recorded her highest scoring output of the season with 24 points (7-12 FG, 1-4 3PT, 9-11 FT) in Saturday's 75-73 victory over Los Angeles.

Hayes played 34 minutes after a mild ankle sprain last week and showed no signs of slowing her production. She chipped in six rebounds and a steal in the winning effort could become even stronger with the ankle coming back to 100 percent.

May 22, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes suffered from a mild ankle sprain in Sunday's game against the Sky and is listed as day-to-day, Mike Peden of The Summit reports.

Hayes suffered from the injury in the closing seconds of Sunday's contest when she stumbled into the padding underneath the basket. The Dream have off until Saturday when they'll take on the Sparks at home, so she'll have just under a week to rehab and recover. Expect the team to update Hayes' status later in the week.

May 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes contributed 23 points (8-17 FG, 2-6 3Pt, 5-7 FT), six rebounds, five assists, one steal and one block across 31 minutes during Friday's 91-83 victory over the Sky.

Not only did Hayes provide an impressive all-around performance, she did so while only committing two turnovers. Friday's effort also marked back-to-back games where she's scored over 18 points while collecting at least six rebounds and one block. Last season with the Dream, Hayes averaged 15.0 points, 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals across 30.8 minutes per game.

May 16, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes produced a team-high 19 points (3-11 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 11-12 FT), along with six rebounds and one assist during Saturday's 81-74 victory against the Sun.

Despite her lackluster field goal percentage on Saturday, Hayes made up for her cold shot by hitting consistent free throws, producing 11 points from the line. Hayes appears to be having a slow start to her season from the field, considering she went 3-10 and was only able to yield seven points during a notably poorly performed preseason game against the Lynx. This season will mark Hayes' sixth campaign both in the WNBA and on the Dream, where she is coming off an impressive 2016 season with averages of 19.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 1.0 assists, and 1.0 blocks within 29 minutes per game.

May 10, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Hayes finished with seven points (3-10 FG, 1-3 3Pt, 0-2 FT), four rebounds and one steal across 17 minutes during Friday's 113-67 loss to the Lynx.

Hayes, a 5-10 lefty guard entering her sixth year in the association, put on an atypical performance Friday by shooting sub-40 percent from the field. She was a significant contributor to the Dream last year, averaging 15.0 points on 44.1 percent shooting while chipping in 3.4 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.2 steals across 30.8 minutes per contest. She also notched single-game career highs in points (32) and rebounds (11) during the 2016 campaign. One outlier preseason performance shouldn't change her outlook on this season, as she'll look to be one of the premier players on the Dream once again.
