Allie Quigley: Past News Updates   ( ▲ View most recent update )

June 10, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley (hip) returned to the lineup for Friday's 79-96 loss to the Mercury, posting nine points (4-9 FG, 1-4 3Pt), one rebound, four assists and one steal across 24 minutes.

Quigley missed the team's last two contests with a hip injury, but was able to get back on the floor and log a full 24-minute workload. The fact that she started and saw extensive playing time indicates the hip injury is no longer a concern, so DFS owners can go ahead and fire her up in lineups moving forward. Prior to Friday's offensive struggles, Quigley had scored 19 points or more in three of the first four games of the season, which exemplifies her potential upside.

June 3, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley (hip) has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Aces.

This will be Quigley's second straight absence due to a strained hip adductor, and while she remains without a clear timetable for a return, the Sky won't take the court again until Friday, giving her plenty of additional time to recover. Courtney Vandersloot should once again play an expanded role in Quigley's absence Sunday.

June 2, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley (hip) is questionable for Sunday's tilt against the Aces.

Quigley missed Friday's tilt against the Sun as a result of a strained hip adductor, which is apparently still giving her some pain. More information on her availability should arrive prior to Sunday's tipoff. If she's held out once more, Courtney Vandersloot should continue seeing an expanded role.

June 1, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley is inactive for Friday's matchup with the Sun due to an injured hip.

Quigley presumably sustained the injury in last Friday's loss to the Storm. She tallied a season high 23 points in the contest, but apparently came out of the game with a hip issue as well. Look for Courtney Vandersloot to continue filling in for her should she ultimately miss any more time. The DePaul product's next opportunity to suit up will be Sunday against the Aces.

May 26, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley totaled 23 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), three assists, one rebound and one steal during Friday's 95-91 loss at Seattle.

Quigley was scoring on all cylinders Friday as she dropped 23 points on 66.7 percent shooting while also knocking down two three-pointers and five free-throws tries. Currently over four games, the former DePaul standout is averaging 19.3 points per game which ranks eight in all the WNBA in 2018.

May 24, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley mustered 13 points (5-9 FG, 2-5 3Pt, 1-1 FT), three assists, one rebound and one block in Wednesday's 81-63 home loss to the Dream.

Quigley led all Sky players with 13 points Wednesday as she shot 55.6 percent from the floor and made two three-point tries. The 32-year-old guard is the leading scorer for the Sky across their first three games by a wide margin at 18.0 points per game.

May 22, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley posted 22 points (7-13 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 6-7 FT), three rebounds and one assist in the Sky's 80-76 win over New York on Sunday.

Quigley led all in-game scorers with 22 points on 53.8 percent shooting from the field while adding six points from the free-throw line. Through two games now, the 32-year-old has been an offensive factor against opposing teams and is averaging 20.5 points and 3.0 rebounds per game with what seems like a much improved Sky team in 2018.

May 20, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley totaled 19 points (8-12 FG, 3-5 3Pt), five assists and three rebounds during Saturday's 82-64 win over Indiana.

The 31-year-old picked up right where she left off last year and lead all in-game scorers Saturday as she shot a fantastic 66.7 percent from the floor while knocking down three-of-five three-pointers. Quigley demonstrated in game No.1 that she is the go-to offensive player for the Sky and it's likely to continue into most of this season.

February 3, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley agreed to an extension with Chicago on Friday, The Summitt reports.

Quigley was recently designated as a core player by the team, giving Chicago exclusive negotiating rights with the 2017 All-Star. The team capitalized and locked up Quigley for another season.

January 17, 2018

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley was designated as a core player by Chicago.

Quigley broke out in her first season as a full-time starter, putting up career highs in points per game (16.4) and assists per game (3.6) while making her first All-Star team. She shot the ball at an impressive rate from the field (50.5 percent), three-point range (43.0 percent), and the free-throw line (89.3 percent). By designating her as a core player, the Sky have secured exclusive negotiating rights with Quigley.

November 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley is averaging a league-best 20.8 PPG through four games for Galatasaray Odeabank of the women's EuroLeague.

Quigley posted a career-high 16.4 PPG during her age-31 season with the Sky, and seems to be continuing that scoring trend overseas. She's shooting 47.9 percent from the field, and began the year with performances of 21, 26 and 26 points before slowing down with just 10 in her latest game.

September 1, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley collected 25 points (10-15 FG, 2-4 3Pt, 3-3 FT), six assists, one rebound, one steal and one block across 34 minutes during Wednesday's 99-96 loss to the Wings

The veteran quickly bounced back from her poor performance Sunday, where she recorded just two points. That's hardly surprising, however, as Quigley has made easy work of the Wings all season. Over the teams' three matchups, she's averaged 23.0 points, 4.6 assists and 1.3 rebounds per game with shooting splits of 55.8/45.5/91.7.

August 29, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley posted two points (0-7 FG, 0-4 3Pt, 2-2 FT, three rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes during Sunday's 92-62 loss to the Liberty.

Sunday was likely Quigley's worst game of the season, as she scored a season-low two points and failed to convert a field goal. It also marked just the third time all season that she's scored in single-digits. With that in mind, it seems safe to declare Sunday's game an outlier, as she's normally good for 16.3 points per game on 50.7 percent shooting.

August 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley posted 17 points, three rebounds, nine assists and one block across 31 minutes in Thursday's win over the Stars.

While Quigley has been a consistent scoring threat all season, she's been doing some additional work distributing as of late, having now recorded 15 assists across her last two contests. While that's likely not a sustainable pace for the shooting guard, especially when playing next to WNBA assist leader Courtney Vandersloot, it certainly adds to her upside as the second half of the season progresses.

July 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley accumulated 20 points (9-14 FG, 2-2 3Pt), three rebounds, two assists and two steals across 22 minutes during Tuesday's 93-72 loss to the Sun.

Despite seeing just 22 minutes of action, Quigley responded with her sixth 20-point outing of the year -- five of which have come within her past eight appearances. The All-Star is currently averaging career highs in points (16.6), assists (3.3) and rebounds (3.0) in her workload of 32.5 minutes per game, which is generally conducive to solid fantasy production. She also continued her scorching hot shooting Tuesday, boosting both her already impressive field-goal (50.9) and three-point (44.3) percentages. Quigley, who leads the Sky in scoring, should probably be considered as a backcourt option in DFS every night Chicago rolls the ball out.

July 24, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley earned her first All-Star game invite as an Eastern Conference reserve after averaging 16.6 points, 3.0 rebounds and 3.3 assists across 32.5 minutes per contest this season.

Currently in her ninth WNBA season, Quigley has started all 18 games and is averaging career highs in points, rebounds and assists. Her 32-minute workload is nearly double her average from last season and she's shown remarkable improvement with her shot. She's currently shooting 50.9 percent from the field and 44.3 percent from the three-point line, allowing her to lead the Sky in scoring and become a consistent fantasy threat every time she's on the floor.

July 19, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley finished with a team-high 25 points (9-16 FG, 6-10 3PT, 1-1 FT) to go with two rebounds, three assists, and one steal across 29 minutes in Tuesday's 94-83 win over the Storm.

Quigley was able to surpass 20 points for the fourth time over the past six games, one of which was her season-high of 27 points. The starting guard is averaging 16.9 points, 2.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists across 32.4 minutes per game heading into the All-Star break.

July 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley scored 22 points across a team-high 46 minutes in Sunday's double-overtime loss to the Wings.

While the Sky were unable to win their fourth straight game, Quigley reached the 20-point plateau for the third time in five contests. With the All-Star break approaching, the guard is now averaging 16.4 points, 3.4 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game on the season.

July 12, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley provided 22 points (7-12 FG, 5-9 3Pt, 3-4 FT), six assists and one rebound across 30 minutes during Wednesday's 90-84 victory over the Wings.

Quigley was hot from beyond the arc Wednesday, swishing a season-high five of her nine attempts from long range en route to a team-high 22 points. She also provided a solid six assists, but countered that with five turnovers. Overall, she still makes for a solid DFS play, posting 16.0 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.0 assists across 31.5 minutes per contest.

June 27, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley finished with 18 points (7-15 FG, 4-5 3Pt, 0-1 FT), four rebounds and two assists across 27 minutes during Sunday's 97-63 loss to the Mystics.

Quigley's presence at the top of the Sky's box score has been nearly unwavering the whole season, as she averages 3.8 more points per game than the second leading scorer on the team, Stefanie Dolson (12.8). Quigley's scoring efforts have also been quite efficient, as she boasts shooting splits of 52.9/46.3/86.7. She's chipping in a solid 3.5 boards and 2.9 assists while turning the ball over 2.2 times per game as well. At this point in the season, she's establishing herself as one of the most consistent scoring options available in DFS.

June 20, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley finished with 18 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 3Pt), four rebounds, three assists, one steal and one block across 35 minutes during Sunday's 91-79 loss to the Fever.

Quigley has been one of the lone bright spots for the Sky, who have won just two of their 11 games, this season. She's averaging 15.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists across 32.7 minutes per game -- and doing it consistently. On a game-to-game basis, Quigley is one of the most reliable DFS options available and can usually be deployed without fear of a dud outing.

June 17, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley finished with a season-high 19 points (7-12 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 2-2 FT) in addition to six assists and five rebounds in 37 minutes during Friday's 86-78 loss to the Mercury.

Quigley has been scoring well the whole season, but has now strung together three games in a row with at least five assists. If she can continue to be a source of both consistent scoring and assists for the Sky, her DFS value will certainly rise. She's currently in the 50/40/90 club with shooting splits of 53.2 percent from the field, 41.0 percent from deep and 90.9 percent from the charity stripe.

June 11, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley finished with 16 points (6-13 FG, 3-7 3Pt, 1-2 FT), five assists and three turnovers across 39 minutes during Saturday's 85-81 overtime win over the Stars.

Quigley matched a season-high five assists in the victory, while also hitting double digits in the scoring column for the sixth time this season. She continues to be one of the Sky's top options offensively, with her her average of 14.8 points per game leading the team. Quigley has largely struggled to provide much more than her scoring totals in DFS contests, so if she can continue to boost her assist numbers like she has over the last few games, that would go a long way in adding to her value.

June 8, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley finished Tuesday's 70-79 loss to the Sparks with 12 points (5-6 FG, 2-3 3Pt), two rebounds, five assists, one block and three turnovers across 27 minutes.

Quigley took a backseat offensively Tuesday, so despite shooting an efficient 83 percent from the floor, she got off season-low six shot attempts, which kept her scoring numbers down. She did, however, add a season-high five assists, which was a nice boost for the nine-year veteran. Quigley now boasts averages of 14.6 points, 3.6 rebounds and 2.2 assists across 30.0 minutes and she should be expected to play a key role offensively moving forward, making her a viable fantasy option on most nights.

June 2, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley tallied 18 points (8-14 FG, 2-7 3Pt), three rebounds and two assists across 30 minutes during Thursday's 99-91 loss to the Mercury.

Quigley has been scoring well to start the season, averaging 15.3 points on 50.0 percent shooting from the field and 36.4 percent from beyond the arc across 30.6 minutes per game. While she's not an exceptional rebounder (4.0) or passer (1.5), her consistent 30-minute workload and ability to score make her a legitimate fantasy option on a regular basis.

May 28, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley had 17 points (6-10 FG, 2-3 3Pt, 3-3 FT), two rebounds, two assists and one turnover across 28 minutes during Friday's 79-88 loss to the Mystics.

Despite missing the early portion of the regular-season schedule while playing overseas in Turkey, Quigley has now played in two games for the Sky, hitting double figures in points during both contests. She's shot the ball extremely well, combining to go 11-for-23 from the field. While she could stand to improve her 5-for-13 clip from the three-point line, Quigley still appears to be locked in as one of the Sky's top scorers and with an expected workload of around 30 minutes on any given night, she should provide a decent source of points as a fantasy option.

May 25, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley posted 13 points (5-13 FG, 3-10 3Pt), seven rebounds and one steal over 35 minutes in Wednesday's loss to the Sky.

The seven-year WNBA veteran was still playing overseas at the start of the regular season, but she has since returned and took her place in the starting lineup right away Wednesday. While Quigley had solid production despite a rough shooting night, where she averaged 9.5 points and just 1.8 rebounds per game, so those numbers should be used as benchmarks for the time being.

May 14, 2017

RotoWire Fantasy Analysis

Quigley has been ruled out for Sunday's game against the Lynx, Mike Peden of SummittHoops.com reports.

Quigley remains overseas playing in the Turkish League playoffs, so she won't join the Sky until the completion of their season. That leaves the Sky without a key contributor from last season, as Quigley is coming off a 2016 campaign where she averaged 9.5 points and 1.6 assists across 17.8 minutes. Following Sunday's contest against the Lynx, the Sky don't play again until Friday against the Dream, so there remains optimism that Quigley could return in time for that contest.
