Russell did not attempt a field goal during Saturday's 94-90 loss at Dallas.

The 22nd pick of the 2018 WNBA Draft was literally a non-factor in just under three minutes of action Saturday. Russell has scored a total of seven points over four games played in 2018 with New York and Seattle so far.

Russell signed a contract with the Storm on Wednesday.

Russell was with the Liberty to open the season, logging 14 minutes in the team's opener. However, she was then released at the end of May after New York activated a player that had finished up her season overseas. Russell now heads to Seattle after spending just a few days as a free agent, though her exact role is still somewhat unclear. In the corresponding move, the Storm have waived Teana Muldrow.

Russell was waived by the Liberty on Saturday, WNBA.com reports.

Russell will be let go less than a week following her signing, after only having seen one game for New York. There may eventually be an opportunity for the rookie to catch on elsewhere, but for now, she'll be a roster casualty to make room for the activation of Kia Vaughn.

Russell re-signed with the Liberty and finished Sunday's regular-season opener with three points (0-1 FG, 3-4 FT), one rebound, two assists and a block across 14 minutes, Ben Dull of HighPostHoops.com reports.

Russell was selected by the Liberty in the second round of the 2018 WNBA Draft, but ended up being one of the final roster cuts leading up to the opener. However, with Kiah Vaughn still finishing her season overseas, New York has opted to bring Russell back to the team and it appears she'll have a solid complimentary role for the time being. While Russell will be in the rotation for now, the expectation is that she'll ultimately see her minutes fall once the Liberty are back to full strength.

Russell was cut by the Liberty on Thursday, HoopFeed.com reports.

Russell was picked with the 22nd overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft after being one of the five finalists last season for the Lisa Leslie Award as the nation's top center. However, her game apparently didn't translate well in camp or preseason.

Russell was selected by the Liberty with the 22nd overall pick in the 2018 WNBA Draft, HoopFeed.com reports.

Lady Vols' coach Holly Warlick calls Russell "a point guard trapped in a post player's body", noting her high basketball IQ. She finished her collegiate career becoming just the sixth Lady Vol to record 1,500 points and 1,000 rebounds and was one of five finalists last season for the Lisa Leslie Award as the nation's top center.
